The Respite Learning Portal The Respite Learning Portal is devoted to people
who are interested in learning more about the world of respite and
those already providing respite support who want to access more
training, information, and to share ideas and resources. The
on-line poll is one way inwhich the Respite Learning Portal is trying
to make this the site of choice for respite training and information.
Participants are invited to vote on topics.
Respite Worker/Provider RegistryIn Ontario there is a respite registry for respite providers, workers, contractors. To become part of the registry to look for work or connect with families who are searching for respite workers go to www.respiteservices.com Please note: you must go through a screening process to be listed in the registry. There is a minimum screening criteria however it will vary from agency to agency e.g. some areas conduct a test or in person orientation all agencies conduct a vulnerable persons check with the OPP and RCMP.
